Coke vs Sauternes

Which is sweeter: Coke or Sauternes?

Sauternes, the sweet botyrised wine from Bordeaux, is really sweet. In fact, so sweet you can't drink more than a small glass at a time. How palatable it is relies partly on the amount of acidity which balances the sugar.

But how much sugar does Coca-Cola have? After all, we drink lots of it, at least a half liter at a time, more for real addicts.

Sauternes has typically 80g/L sugar. Coke has 112,5 g/L!
(based on Coca-Cola US recipe carbs g/L from US fact sheet)

Surprise. Just for comparison's sake, I checked an Italian Pantelleria which has about 180 g sugar pr liter, and an Austrian Trockenbeerenauslese with 170g/L.
